GREAT NEWS!!!!! WISCONSIN SENIORCARE PROGRAM HAS EXTENDED TO DECEMBER 31, 2012!!!

SeniorCare is the Wisconsin Prescription Drug Program for those residents age 65 or older who meet certain income guidelines. The maximum yearly gross income to qualify is $25,993 for an individual and $34,969 for a couple. Anyone over those income limits still can carry the SeniorCare program as creditable coverage for Medicare Part D. If someone does not take prescription drugs or very few or do not want to sign up for a Medicare Part D plan, they can sit on Wisconsin SeniorCare until the next open enrollment (November 15 through December 31). Beware of the Green postcards – People have been receiving green post cards that state “Important Benefit Supplement Information for seniors”. If you receive such a card please do not put down your information and send it back. If you send it back, you will be contacted by a sales representative who will attempt to sell you something you may not want or need. All of the FDL County pharmacies accept this card and all members of a family household can use it. Almost all prescriptions are covered under this card.
