Be wary of discount health plans – With the cost of health insurance plans going up people look to different ways to save money. Informational flyers, faxes, mass mailings have offers of huge savings. Be aware of ads that offer free for 30 days, a card that will offer you savings on doctors, dentists, pharmacist and hospitals. However when you check the list of providers you may find few if any who actually provide a discount based on the ad or card. Also, the card isn’t really free because you pay a registration fee then after 30 days there are monthly fees ranging from $29.95 to $49.00. If you have questions on these and other “discount” health plans please contact Julie at 929-3521.
