I'm Back

It has taken me some time but I am back and ready to start "blogging" ,is that a word? Anyway today I hosted The Focus and welcomed in two guests.
During the first 30 minutes I chatted with Fr. Ken Guy from St. Peter's Episcopal Church in Ripon. He will be hosting a series of seminars discussing "The Da Vinci Code". By now I am sure you know of the controversial novel by Dan Brown and the upcoming movie starring Tom Hanks. What Fr. Guy hopes to do with his seminars is explain the "real facts of Christianity". The 3 seminars will take place at St.Peter's Episcopal Church in Ripon on Tuesday ,April 25,May 16 and June 6. For more info call 920-748-2422.
I read the book. I was entertained. I will see the movie. I must say that I don't understand what all the uproar is about. This is a work of fiction and if taken as a work of fiction it does well. If taken as fact , well what part of fiction is hard to understand? Is it a great piece of literature? No , but it does entertain and that, I would think is what Dan Brown set out to do. For more info on the book and the controversy do a quick google search and you will be busy for a good long time.
The second half of the show was spent with Sarah Klavas of the Wisconsin Dep. of Tourism. Spring and summer is a great time to explore Wisconsin and one of the best tools for planning a trip that I have found is http://www.travelwisconsin.com. Take some time and have fun planning a day trip or a week long summer getaway.
Well tonite I'm off to Miller Park as I give the Brewers an opportunity to win me over. Just watching Prince Fielder take some cuts should be worth the price of admission. Tomorrow I will be in Madison at The Camp as Brett Bielema takes his first team out for the annual Spring Game. I'll give an update in the next few days. See ya.
