My First Blog
I was going to title this " my first entry" but I'm not sure how that would play on AM radio. I wish I could tell the very few of you that are reading this what I hope to accomplish with this space but alas I really do not know. I will try to post my guest list for The Focus for a given week but I often have no idea who will be stopping by on any given day. I will post info regarding any authors I chat with or any other related news. I also hope to add a few thoughts and comments regarding my life as I see it. These will sometimes be light hearted and I hope somewhat entertaining ( who am I kidding most times I only entertain myself and that doesn't happen all that often). At the moment I am without a home computer so my postings have to be made from work. This may limit the number of postings but should also limit the amount of time I am tempted to post while drunk(note to self: do not post when I am drunk). Oh before I forget I will also be linking some interesting stories or sites that I have gotten a kick out of. I hope you may find some interesting and if a few happen to walk a fine line between tasteful and ,well, not so tasteful so be it. I hope you are not easily offended. One more point I would like to make...thank the lord for Spell Checker. I do not spell well and my puncuation is atrocious (see , Spell Checker works) but I hope you can understand whatever gibberish I happen to be writing on a given day. Listen on Wed. March 22 at 11:05 as I will be joined by author Mike Perry. His book "Population 485: Meeting Your Neighbors One Siren at a Time"" is the featured book in this years FDL reads program. We will discuss the book as well as how he became a writer. One post under my belt and I don't think I offended anyone. I am very disappointed in myself (note to self: try harder to offend next time). See Ya......

Congratulations you offended all of us today who simply cannot afford to pay more school taxes. You said that the $20 your taxes are going to go up are just offset by not going out to a fishfry. Well at least you have the luxury of being able to cut that out of your budget. Believe it or not, not all of us can do that. When I get my tax bill there is not a line item that says, THIS PORTION OF YOUR TAX BILL GOES TO TEACHER COMPENSATION WHICH WE HAVE NO CONTROL OF. It simply says you owe this amount to the FDL school distrtict. So it doesn't matter to me, my taxes are to high. I realize that you have to come out in favor of more school taxes because of your broadcasting commitment with FDL.
Great blog. Only wish you could read what people write on it.
WTCX fan, thank you very much.
